Our 2026 Winter Retreat
was held in Woodstock, GA
Each February we schedule a time of refreshment for hard-working homeschool moms. This gathering grows sweeter every year.
For 2026:
The life of the prophet Elijah was not one constant mountaintop experience. Instead, his walk with God unfolded in seasons—each with its own challenges and invitations to trust. As a homeschool mom, you might find your days look surprisingly similar. Take heart: God met Elijah in every season—and He’ll meet you too.

When Good Intentions Meet Hard Days
Homeschooling often begins with beautiful goals. Things like carefully chosen curriculum, a fresh planner, and a heart full of hope for meaningful days with our children. But just like new shoots in a garden, even the best beginnings can struggle under the heat of real life. In this session, we’ll explore what happens when our early enthusiasm starts to wilt: when routines falter, patience thins, and the daily pressures feel like a scorching sun on tender growth.
Together, we’ll look honestly at the challenges that come with homeschooling, without guilt or comparison. We’ll talk about what it means to nourish ourselves as faithfully as we nourish our kids, how to recognize the signs of burnout before they take root, and how small, steady practices can often bring forth the fruit we originally hoped and prayed for but that ultimately homeschooling is a journey walked best with our eyes firmly planted on Jesus.
This event is planned to include encouragement, restoration, and practical wisdom, a gentle watering for weary hearts. Whether you feel like you’re thriving, barely hanging on, or somewhere in between, you’ll leave this retreat with renewed clarity, lighter shoulders, and hope for the days and seasons to come.
We were able to capture three of the five of the sessions on audio file and have slides to go along with these. We pray they are a blessing to each mom who listens.
